Mumbai: Upporu Shivaji Poojary elected new president of Bharath Cooperative Bank

Mumbai, Aug 17: Bharath Bank board of directors unanimously appointed Upporu Shivaji Poojary (U S Poojary) as the new president of Bharath Cooperative Bank.

Jaya C Suvarna was the president so far. Bank has achieved all-round progress and received several awards when he was the president.

Bharath bank has 102 branches in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Gujarat. Rohini J Salian will continue as the vice president. Vidyananda S Karkera will be the bank’s CEO and managing director and Dinesh B Salian will be the joint managing director.

U S Poojary has completed his higher education at MGM College, Udupi, and has BSc and MA degrees in Mumbai besides a CAIIB banking degree. He is a person of few words and has vast experience in banking.
