2 Maha men arrested for sale of exotic animal worth Rs 22 lac

Pune, Aug 20: On receiving a tip-off DCP (Crime) Bachchan Singh of the Pune City Police arrested two men who were engaged in the trade of exotic animals.

The incident took place on Wednesday, August 19 where the police busted two accused who were in possession of a Red Sand Boa snake. The snake which was 44 inches long, weighed 3 kg and was estimated to cost Rs 22 lac.

On recovering the animal from the men, the police handed over the animal to the officials of Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park.
