Mumbai: Ganeshotsava held at Kavale math Walkeshwar

Mumbai, Aug 28: The annual Ganeshotsava event was celebrated at Kavale Math's Shantadurga Devasthan at Walkeshwar, here, on Ganesh Chaturthi.

The event continues as per the directives of Kaivalya Mathadheesh Shreemad Shivanand Saraswati Swamiji and under the Maharashtra government regulations as per the social distancing norms including the compulsory wearing of masks for every devotee seeking darshan in the temple premises till Friday August 28.

Daily Gana Homa, moodh ganapati pooja, madhyanha aarati to Shatadurgadevi and mangalarati to Lord Ganesh took place. The evening Pushpa Pooja and Rangapooja are proposed. The devotees are requested to contact the math's office at Banaganga, Walkeshwar.

The event will conclude with Jalasthambana of the idol on August 28 (on the seventh day) at Banaganga Talao, reports Kamalaksha Saraf, committee member and PRO, Kavale math, local committee, Walkeshwar, Mumbai.
