Udupi: ‘Implement schemes under Jal Jeevan mission effectively’ – MLA Halady Srinivas Shetty

Udupi, Aug 29: Kundapur MLA Halady Srinivas Shetty has asked to properly implement schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission. He was speaking in a meeting presided by president Dinaker Babu in Udupi district panchayat auditorium on Saturday August 29.

The scheme is for supplying 55 LPCD clean drinking water per person, in all the villages in the state. The MLA asked to provide water connections to villages where tanker water is being supplied to villages during summer.

MLA Raghupathi Bhat asked to use quality pipes for connections. President Dinaker Babu asked to bring to the notice of the local district panchayat the works being taken up in the current season.

Health and education standing committee president Pratap Hegde Marali asked to increase the height of school roofing during constructions.

The last date for survey of farmer’s produce is extended to September 23. Farmers should make use of the opportunity, said joint director of the department of agriculture, Kempegowda.

District panchayat vice president Sheela K Shetty, social justice committee president Shobha G Putran, agriculture and industries standing committee president Sumeeth Shetty, district panchayat CEO Preethi Geylot, assistant secretary Kiran Padnekar and chief planning officer Srinivas Rao were present.
