Mumbai, Sep 1: Founder and trustee of Tunga hospital, Madhwaguthu Bhoja Mohan Shetty (72) passed away after a brief illness.

He hailed from Belthangady and has left behind his wife Vasanthi, children Hariprasad, Rajesh, Dr Sathish, Pooja Umesh and a large number of friends and relatives.

He had worked in the Gulf and Mumbai and being far-sighted was fond of education and had indulged in social work. He had donated generously to local groups in Madantyar and supported them.

He started Bantara Sangha in Madantyar and became its founder president. He was interested in Kambla, the sport of the coastal region and won prizes by participating in them.

Several elite leaders of Bantara Sangha in Mumbai, Tunga hospital doctors and staff have expressed their condolences on his demise.
