Fire in east Delhi market, no injuries


New Delhi, Sep 25 (IANS): A fire broke out in a hardware store in a market in Delhi's Shahdara district on Friday evening but was soon doused, fire service officials said.

"We received a call of fire from Jagatpuri Market F Block at 5.41 p.m. on Friday. Immediately, six fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control. No injuries were reported," Delhi Fire Services Director Atul Garg said.

The blaze was reported from the ground floor and the terrace of the hardware store, where PVC roll sheets caught fire.

The reason for the fire was not immediately established.
