Mangaluru: Felcy Rego conferred with prestigious, 'District Social Worker-2020' by Lions Club

Mangaluru, Oct 6: Well-known social worker Felcy Rego, Kavoor has been conferred with the prestigious, 'District Social Worker-2020’ award by Lions Club, Mangaluru.

In an award event held at Lions Club hall, Mallikatte, Mangaluru on Saturday, October 3. Ronald Gomes, Lions Club district governor felicitated Felcy Rego with the award and certificate of appreciation.

On receiving the award, Felcy Rego said, "I never expected an award because I never worked for awards or appreciation. Being a responsible human it is my duty to help people. My parents have always taught me to help others and see God in destitute. I idolise Mother Theresa who is one of the prime examples of humanity and I get inspiration from her. I find happiness and peace of mind by helping those in need. I would also like to thank Lions Club, Kavoor for supporting my social journey."

Felcy Rego, popularly known as Felcy Amma has actively engaged in social service in the Kavoor area for past several years. She is an active member of Lions Club, Kavoor and is a part of other social service organizations. Many such organizations have recognized her social work and felicitated her work.
