Bantwal, Oct 8: Popular Front of India (PFI) Bantwal taluk committee held protests in B C Road on Thursday condemning that BJP government of Uttar Pradesh has completely failed to solve the alleged rape and murder of Dalit girl in Hathras. PFI condemned the slapping of unfounded allegations against PFI by UP government and imposing a defamation case to prevent global level embarrassment to the government.

“Adityanath government is converted as Jangal Raj where law and order are completely collapsed. Besides minorities, Dalits and women have also become insecure there. Uttar Pradesh government which is facing embarrassment in the world after several incidents including Hathras rape, alleging that PFI is conspiring to instigate communal unrest and violence is unfounded and laughable,” stated the protesters.

“This is not the first time that PFI is facing false allegations. Several governments have faced shame in the courts after false allegations against PFI. Uttar Pradesh police had arrested PFI state leaders alleging that they were masterminds during protests opposing CAA, NRC and NPR. But the allegations could not be proved in the court and all those who were arrested have been released on bail. Police who arrested PFI leaders during Delhi unrest also could not prove the involvement of PFI in the court. BJP has failed to prove the allegations against PFI in the country and is disappointed after investigations using NIA, CBI and ED,” they alleged.

“PFI is respecting the law of the country and constitution and believes in democratic protests. The government should withdraw cases filed against PFI filed without proof. It should conduct investigations through a retired judge of the entire incidents at Hathras and the victim’s family should be paid compensation,” they urged.

An appeal was sent later by the protesters to the president of India through the local tahsildar.

PFI Dakshina Kannada district president Ijaz Ahmed Panemangaluru, Bantwal taluk president Salim Kumpanamajalu, SDPI Karnataka state committee member Riaz Farangipete, Bantwal municipal councillor Munish Ali and others were in the protests.
