Kasargod, Oct 10: A senior resident of Koyikkode, Praveena aged 60 who was injured in a car accident that occurred at Nileshwar succumbed to her injuries this afternoon. Therefore, the number of people who have died in the tragic mishap has gone up to two. She was under treatment at Kannur private hospital.
Bedadka taluk hospital medical officer, resident of Trissur, Paul Gletto Meroko (49) had already died in the accident.
The accident had occurred when their car rammed into a concrete wall near Nileshwara Karuvecheri. While Paul Gletto Meroko had died, six others in the car had suffered injuries.
The injured include junior health inspector Pradeep, hospital assistant surgeon Dr Dinu Gagan, Dinu’s mother Praveena, who passed away this afternoon without responding to treatment and two children.
