Mangaluru, Oct 12: Somashekar, Karnataka Tourism District Officer paid a visit to the Bishop Dr peter Paul D'Souza, here, and shared a few important details about the tourism department. Fr Vijay Lobo (PRO) was present.

Holy Cross Church, Kulshekar

Fr Victor Machado welcomed Somashekar cordially and Michael D'Souza (vice-president), Lancy Sequeira (secretary) briefed him about Pra Sahib and the campus.

Infant Jesus shrine, Bikarnakatte

Somashekar was warmly welcomed by Fr Rovel Dsouza (shrine director) and led everyone into a short prayer. He was escorted around the campus and more details were presented. Fr Lancy Louis, Fr Tony Pinto, Fr Steven Lobo witnessed the visit.

Visit to Bethany Mother House, Bendur

The next visit of Somashekar was to the heritage cottage of Monsignor Raymond Francis Camillus Macarenhas (founder of Bethany Congregation). Sr Rose Celine the Superior General warmly welcomed the guest and briefed about the heritage cottage and the place around.

Sr Lillis (assistant superior general), Sr Shanthi Priya, Sr Mariette, Sr Lillita, general counselor, Sr Jyothi and Sr Sirisha witnessed the visit.

St Anthony Ashram, Jeppu

Fr Onil Dsouza (director) welcomed the visitors and briefed about the campus and its existence for the poor and took them all around the ashram. Fr Alban Dsouza (administrator), Fr Roshan Dsouza (assistant director), John Tauro were present.

St Joseph’s Shrine, Mudipu

Fr Benjamin Dsouza (shrine director) welcomed the guests and after a short prayer briefed the them about St Joseph Vaz and his miracles. Naveen Dsouza (vice-president), Irene Veigas (secretary) led the visitors around the campus and briefed them about the holy place. Arun Dsouza, Marcel Dsouza and Rajat Veigas members of the parish were present.

Visit to Rishivana in Ranipura

Fr Dr Archibald Gonsalves cordially welcomed the guests and briefed them with the details of the place existing amidst the beautiful scenery. Fr Wilfred Rodrigues, Fr Lancy Mendonca, Fr John Lobo, Fr Vivian Menezes witnessed the visit.

Accompanied by Stanly Bantwal, Somashekar visited the various religious places in Mangaluru throughout the day.
