Bantwal: North Indian arrested on charges of assaulting home alone woman in Vitla

Bantwal, Oct 12: The police team led by Vitla station SI Vinod Kumar Reddy arrested a north Indian resident on charges of entering the residence of a home-alone woman in Meginapete, Vitla Kasba village and assaulting her.

The crime came to light when Uttar Pradesh resident Zubair was detained and questioned on suspicion. The suspect had assaulted Lalita, staying alone in a house at Meginapete, Vitla on the morning of October 9 and tried to rob her.

The arrest was conducted under the leadership of police circle inspector T D Nagaraj by Vitla station sub-inspector Vinod Reddy and staff Prasanna, Dinesh, Jayakumar, Pratap, Vinayaka and Hemaraj under the guidance of DSP Dr Laxmi Prasad and assistant SP Valentine D’ Souza.
