Kasargod, Oct 12: Chimeni station police personnel arrested two suspects for transport of 10 kg ganja seized from them.
The arrested were Karat Naushad (40) and Samshuddin (42). Police were on their rounds at Chonadka police station limits inspecting vehicles this afternoon. They signalled the car that came that way to stop. But it fled. The police immediately alerted all the police stations in the vicinity. Police began inspecting vehicles in several places and stopped the car that was fleeing at Pallikere, Nileshwar.
Samshuddin
Though the suspects tried to escape, police arrested them with the help of the local people. 10 kg ganja was found hidden in the vehicle. The suspects were transporting it from Andhra Pradesh to Kasargod. Investigations are in progress.
