Bantwal, Oct 13: Former Karnataka Bank president Ananthakrishna was honored by former district panchayat president B Sadananda Poonja. A programme in this regard was held at the hometown of Ananthakrishna in the Sajipamooda branch of Karnataka bank. 

Speaking on the occasion, Sadananda Poonja stated that Narayana Rao, father of the late Ananthakrishna was popular as Shanbhog in the villages near Sajipa. “His son Ananthakrishna, a person who was simple and humble took Karnataka Bank to global heights. He helped in the economic progress of the village of Sajipa by opening a branch here,” he said.

 

Sadananda Poonja recollected his rapport with the late Ananthakrishna. A moment of silence was observed by praying for the departed soul.

Karnataka Bank Sajipamooda branch manager Mithilesh Kumar, Suman K A, Ramachandraiah, Raghavendra Kumar Pranam, Prashanth Kumar, M Subrahmanya Bhat, Jayashanker Basrithaya, Venkateshwar Bhat, Devi Prasad Poonja, K Seetarama Shetty, Government Pre University College principal Babu Gaonkar, Harish Gatty, Venkataraya Mayya, Srinath Shetty, Vishwanath Belchada, Vishwanath Kothary and others were present.
