Udupi: Excise department registers four separate cases - Seizes ganja, liquor

Udupi, Oct 15: The department of excise in the district registered four cases under Excise Act 1965 section 32 and four cases under NDPS Act 1985 from October 1 to October 14. The department has confiscated 429 grams of ganja, 29.52 litres of illicit liquor, 19.5 litres of Goa liquor and confiscated five two-wheelers in this connection.

Four accused have been arrested in this connection and a legal action has also been taken against the concerned.

The value of confiscated items is about Rs 3 lac, states a press release from the district deputy commissioner of excise.
