Bengaluru: North Karnataka districts may experience rain fury again

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Oct 17: The districts devastated by heavy rain and floods during this week are expected to be hit by torrential rainfall again in three to four days time.

Districts like Yadagiri, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, and Koppal among several others had been hit with vengeance by untimely rains. Many had lost their houses and crops and they have been sheltered in the gruel camps. Crops grown in lacs of hectares of land have been destroyed.

Even before the people came out of the shock and took stock of the situation, the meteorological department has warned of another bout of rain in the next three to four days. This will be caused by another fall in atmospheric pressure caused in the middle of the Bay of Bengal. Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka districts attached to the borders of these states will be affected by the rainfall, the department said.
