Bantwal: Retired CEO of Pilatabettu Agricultural Cooperative Society Booba Poojary passes away

Bantwal, Oct 17: Retired CEO of Pilatabettu Agricultural Cooperative Society, senior cooperative person, religious leader, Booba Poojary Kudkandodi (67), resident of Kundkandodi of Kodambettu village of the taluk died of cardiac arrest on October 17 at his residence.

Booba Poojary is survived by wife, two sons and two daughters.

Booba Poojary had donned various positions for 40 years in the Pilatabettu Agricultural Cooperative Society and got retired as the CEO.

Poojary was actively involved in religious work for 45 years. He served relentlessly at Nadvanthadi Sri Sode Vadiraja Math. In addition, he served as secretary of Ajjibettu Padavu Sri Durgaparameshwari temple Brahmakalashotsava committee, trustee of Pangalpadi Sri Vishnumoorthy temple, chief secretary of Sirigundadapadi Sri Brahmalingeshwara temple, president of Aladapadavu Brahmashree Narayana Guru Billava Samaja committee, Haleppadi Sri Balanjaneya Bhajana Mandali, honorary president of Kodmbettu Hindu Jagarana Vedike, Gurikar of Bottikanda household family and many other organizations.

 

Booba was a progressive agriculturist. He was an amateur drama artiste earlier in life. He was honoured by various organizations for his service to the society, including Swastisiri state award.
