Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Oct 19: After a pick-up truck hit a bullet tanker loaded with fuel from behind, the driver of the pick-up truck suffered serious injuries. This accident happened during the early hours of Sunday, October 18 in front of Panambur beach road here. The tanker was moving towards the city when the accident happened.

The tanker driver had not realized that a pick-up truck had dashed his vehicle from behind and that the truck was stuck to the tanker at the rear end. The pick-up was therefore dragged for about two km before other drivers signalled to the tanker driver and drew his attention towards what happened. The tanker driver then stopped his vehicle after which the driver was brought out and admitted to the hospital.
