Kasargod, Nov 1: District cybercrime police station was inaugurated through video conference by CM Pinarayi Vijayan.

Speaking on the occasion through video, Vijayan said, "Amendments will be done in the police act to make sure that people involved in cybercrimes get suitable punishment. Sexual atrocities on children and women is increasing due to social media. This will be taken seriously. It is required to stop the misuse of social media."

DGP Loknath Behera, ADGP Manoj Abraham, Dr Sheikh Darvesh Saheb, P Vijayan, SP D Shilpa, ASP Xavier Sebastian, special branch DySP Harishchandra Naik and other police officers were present.
