Mangaluru: All Soul’s Day celebrated at Church of St Vincent Ferrer Valencia

Mangaluru, Nov 3: All Soul's Day was celebrated on November 2 at Church of St Vincent Ferrer Valencia to remember and pray for the faithful and departed members of our families. Three eucharistic masses were celebrated, two in the morning and one in the evening. After the morning mass was the blessing of priests' graves of the diocese.

In the evening, a solemn mass was celebrated by the parish priest, Fr Roque D’Sa. In his homily, he spoke about our heavenly home, a permanent place to go where there is no worry and distress.

The assistant parish priest, Fr Lancy D’Souza, the resident priest, Fr Joswin D’Souza, the assistant director of St Anthony Ashram, Fr Roshan D’Souza and Fr William Barracas were the co-celebrants.



After the mass, a small prayer service was conducted in the graveyard and followed by the blessing of the graves.

People gathered in large numbers to pray for the departed members of their families.
