Kasargod, Nov 3: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court said that the Kerala state government has not been cooperating with the agency in its investigation into the murders of two youth Congress workers at Periya in the district.

"We have sought case diary and other documents many a time but the state government has not yet handed over them to us," it said. It also informed that it has provided case details to the Supreme Court in a sealed cover. The Supreme Court will hear the case on Tuesday November 3. In the past too, the CBI had told the Supreme Court that the state has not handed over diary and other documents in spite of repeated requests.

CBI had written to state crime intelligence bureau seven times seeking the above documents. After it failed for the seventh time to respond, legal steps were taken. CBI said that even though the Kerala government is not cooperating, the agency has been going ahead with investigation and that as part of the probe, telephone details of a few people have been collected.
