Beltangady: Couple, child consume poison - fighting for life

Beltangady, Nov 3: In an incident which happened at Kaukrady near here on the night of Monday November 2, a couple consumed poison and also poisoned their child. All the three are in critical condition and currently being treated at Manipal hospital.

Chandrashekhar Shettigar (35), son of Bhaskar Shettigar, residing near Atrajalu in Kaukraday village, his wife, Asha (30) and their small child are battling for their lives.

The locals had admitted them into a hospital at Karkala. However, later they were referred to Manipal hospital. Reason for this mass suicide atempt is not known.

    Very tragic.Now their child too has to suffer because parents had made some mistake ,and decided to suicde without thinking.Sad they did not think twice or asked somebody for a advice.Hope they will survive but Police will be now making a charge on them .
