Kasargod: Bandyodu firing case accused hits car against police jeep, escapes

Kasargod, Nov 4: In an incident that occurred on the night of Tuesday, November 3, at Kodlamogaru near Manjeshwar in the district, a police jeep which was chasing the car of accused in the firing and murder attempt that occurred at Adka near Bandyodu, was hit by the car in which the accused were travelling and they escaped.

Though the police team led by district DySP Balakrishnan Nair, waylaid the car of the accused, they did not stop but collided their car with the jeep of police deliberately and escaped from the spot. Fortunately, the police personnel are out of danger.

The Kasargod police acted on definite information. It is suspected that the accused might have fled to Karnataka. Police have registered a case against four people with regards to this incident.

It may be recalled, on the morning of Saturday October 31, an attempt was made to murder a person by firing gun shots. Police have already arrested three people in this connection. Ten people are absconding.

    Did the KL police facilitate escape of criminals... why did not call further police stations / border checkposts...

    any thing is possible given the wide spread corruption...
