Bengaluru: Petitioner withdraws three petitions filed against CM

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Nov 5: The petitioner has withdrawn three petitions he had filed against state chief minister (CM) B S Yediyurappa containing allegations of amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income. They were withdrawn for technical reasons.

All the three petitions were filed by Shivamogga-based advocate, B Vinod. They came up for hearing before the single judge bench of the high court presided over by Justice John Michael Cunha on Wednesday November 4. The court wanted to know from the petitioner why prior permission from the competent authority has not been provided with the petition as obtaining prior permission before registering complaints against people in public office is mandatory.

The advocate for the petitioner withdrew the pletitions and said that fresh petitions will be filed after getting prior permission. Based on this statement, the court disposed off the applications.
