Udupi: Vinay Kulkarni arrest by CBI - Minister Eshwarappa retaliates on former CM' s statement

Udupi, Nov 6: Minister for rural development, K S Eshwarappa took to task former CM and leader of the opposition, Siddaramaiah on his statement saying that the arrest of Congress leader Vinay Kulkarni in the murder case of BJP leader Yogesh Gowda is politically motivated.

Speaking in the city, Eshwarappa said, "Does the statement given by Siddaramiah mean the murder case should not be investigated? Does it mean that Congress supports murder? If Siddaramaiah supports murder let him agree in the open. The sending to prison of BJP people is also politically motivated? Blabbering without any purpose does not suit a person, who is holding the position of leader of the opposition. If Vinay Kulkarni is not guilty let him come out after the inquiry. We condemn the policy of Congress in this matter."

Replying to the query by the scribes of Siddaramaiah hinting at a change in CM position after the bye polls, Eshwarappa said, "Former CM Siddaramaiah has gone insane. After he lost his CM position he has become a lunatic. Why CM should be changed in Karnataka? Did Siddaramaiah get this news from the sky or did Modi, Nadda, or Amit Shah call him and give the information? You go in the midst of people and work. I am in a temple, otherwise, I would have used more abusive words."
