Beltangady: Immersed in problems, woman jumps into well

Beltangady, Nov 28: A woman, who reportedliy was depressed over problems faced by her in day-to-day life, jumped into a well and committed suicide. She killed herself on Friday, November 27.

The deceased was Chandravathi (38), a resident of Makanda in Mundkoor village. Chandravathi had married a man. After she delivered a son, her husband had reportedly deserted her. This had come as a rude shock for her and a report was filed in Belthangady police station. The police said that she perhaps ended her life because of a feeling of insecurity and worry over her husband's desertion.
