Mangaluru, Nov 28: CODP®, here, SPARSHA programme, Our Lady of Fathima Church Tannirbhavi and Karnataka One on November 27 jointly organized an Ayushman Bharath drive at Tannirbhavi Church hall.

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Fr Elias D'Souza, the parish priest of Tannirbhavi Church. Fr Oswald Monteiro, director of CODP was the chief guest. The other guests of honor were Shilpa D'Souza, coordinator of SPARSHA; Priyanaka, from Karnataka One and Avil Coelho, vice-president of Tannirbhavi Church.

Fr Oswald Monteiro, in his inaugural speech, informed that the reason to organize this programme was to create awareness among all the participants regarding Ayushman Bharath Health Scheme. He also explained the importance of the schemes in the course of hospitalization treatment.

Fr Elias D'Souza explained the importance of availing government health schemes. He also appreciated CODP and Karnataka One for organizing this camp at Tannirbhavi by which the people would be benefited.

Saira, a member of ICYM Thannirbavi compered the programme. Pushpaveni, the animator of CODP, assisted during the programme and Avil proposed the vote of thanks.

A team of enthusiastic volunteers from Our Lady of Fathima Church, Tannirbhavi worked hard to make the camp a success.

A total of 287 Ayushman cards have been distributed to the participants.
