Kaup: Car-scooter collision leaves two-wheeler rider dead

Kaup, Nov 30: It is reported that a car hit a scooter near the Vidyaniketan School Junction on Saturday, November 28. The accident which happened on national highway 66 claimed a life.

The deceased has been identified as Subhash Kini. He had come in his scooter from the direction of Padubidri and was waiting to make his way into Kaup town when a car that was moving towards Mangaluru knocked him down. Kini fell to the road and sustained grievous injuries. His end came when he was being taken to a hospital, sources said.

Kaup police have registered a case and are investigating.
