Bagalkot: MTB Nagaraj says Santosh did not arrange their Mumbai trip

Daijiworld Media Network - Bagalkot (SP)

Bagalkot, Nov 30: MLC MTB Nagaraj dismissed the notion created by opposition leaders that the chief minister B S Yediyurappa's political secretary N R Santosh had seen the defectors from other parties to the BJP off at the airport by a special flight to Mumbai. He confirmed that in fact, minister R Ashok had made the arrangements for flying to Mumbai.

Speaking to media persons here on Sunday November 29, Nagaraj asked D K Shivakumar, who has been saying that Santosh attempted suicide because of political reasons to make public documents and other proof like CDs he may be having in support of his statement. He said that if Shivakumar had any proof with him, he would have released them long back.

CM change: Nagaraj asserted that discussions about replacing the chief minister were never held and that Yediyurappa will remain the chief minister of Karnataka for the full term. "There is no difference about migrants and loyalists. Renukacharya too has good opinion about us. Sometimes when speaking people commit mistakes, and I am not hurt by what he said," he clarified.

Nagaraj said there is no need to assign any special significance to the meeting convened nyu them. He said that the issue of government or ministry never figured in the discussions. He added that the chief minister had told them about the ministry expansion getting delayed but exuded confidence that he would become minister soon.
