Mangaluru, Dec 7: A virtual conference of the Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Dakshina Kannada Cooperative Milk Producers' Federation was held on Saturday December 5.

Speaking on the occasion, the president of the federation Raviraj Hegde, who presided over the function said, "In the fiscal 2019-20, 4,36,936 kg of milk is collected daily from 726 associations on an average of 602 kg.

"On the whole, with the progress of 4.25%, the total turnover of the federation is 850.27 crore and net profit earned was Rs 707.16 lac. It is decided to distribute 12% dividend and a 25% bonus to members of the federation."

Raviraj Hegde thanked the president, members of the administrative committee and managing director of Karnataka Milk Federation for releasing an amount of Rs 2.5 crore, which was pending from the Rs 10 crore grant that was assured for the building of Udupi dairy, in the fiscal 2019-20.

Prizes were distributed to taluk and district associations that have shown good performance in the fiscal 2019-20 including good women associations of the federation, best BMC district wise, best artificial insemination workers, best quality associations talukwise, medium class milk producers and good milk producers who developed green fodder for cattle.
