    Dear all,
Minister was honest in publicizing the contributing of large sums to the state exchequer.

It does not need a genius to understand the very large amount from temple goes to state exchequer in Karnataka. All temples in Karnataka are poorly managed and surround is accumulating filth from visitors to such place.

Governments have been silent on returning fairly for development from income generating temples. It seems all want temples to be submerged with waste and destroy the people associated with the temple. A comparison chart to be made public as to what ratio of money going into state exchequer from important worship places that steadily draw crowds and how funds are returned to the same place as development funds this will clear all doubts of people.

Minister was talking of potable drinking water and sanitation for the Temple which is contributing heavily to state exchequer.

This large sum is from common man’s contribution (not Tax) wholeheartedly given to their belief, faith in hope for betterment of lives. Be it temple or which ever place that draws large people to a small space it is essential to provided with basic infrastructure facilities for the sake of human health and safety. If this is not done any epidemic flare from such place can be catastrophic it will be beyond control spreading to other states and effects rich, poor, people of different faith and beliefs, all.

“Cleanness is near to God” Hygiene is for every one and for any people who visits Kollur will agree that on top priority a proper sewerage systems and drinking water is need for such large visitors. After all Visitors of Kollur are the Guests for Karnataka and our culture says “Athithi Dayvo Bhava”. So Kollur will be able to provide clean water and hygienic surroundings. This investment will certainly double if not tripe the inflow into state exchequer. Let us all pray first if what Honorable Minister VS Acharya promised will really take place and visitors of Kollur will have quality potable drinking water and sanitation system.

This is another method of collecting votes.
It is a bribe for the swamijis give message to the people to vote for BJP.
If they get that, they do not need votes from non-Hindus.

    Good luck.

Vijay Bangalore Please note that the temples are contributing huge sum to the State Exchequer and earnings of these temples are under the goverments control. If the churches are and mosques are also controlled by government in line with endovement department (not as waqf as this not in line with endovement) then suggestion is justified.

Good news for Kateel that Govt has extended help to Sree Kshetra Kateel for improving drinking water and sanitation condition. There is a dire need for implementing the drainage system in Kateel in view of presently the dirty water from local hotels and temple lodges is being flown to river. The local wells as well as river water has rendered useless due to heavy polution.Only during the rainny season river get cleansed and water could be used for bathing purpose.

It should be made public what sort of help being extended and quantum of package. It is equally important that work envisaged to be completed in a time bound programme and follow up action should be initiated for timely completion of the work and end use of funds.Influx of devotees to this important destination is on rise and because of peculiar geographical land scape the proper drainage system is needed urgently.Adequate tiolets/urinals seperate for ladies/gents needs focussed attention to preserve the sanctity of this great Kshetra.
