Mumbai man sets wife on fire for refusing to give money

Mumbai, Dec 14: In a horrific incident, a 25-year-old woman was set ablaze by her husband after she refused to give him money. The victim identified as Ayesha Nadak, resident of Nallasopara, sustained 55% burns. Her husband Musibal (30) has been arrested by the police in this regard.

As per reports, Musibal came home with kerosene after Ayesha refused to give him money saying that she only had enough to buy food for their children. Enraged by the statement, the accused splashed kerosene on her and set her on fire. Ayesha told the police two of Musibal's brothers were with him when the incident occurred. The police asserted that the brothers are absconding. Neighbours doused the flames and took her to the hospital.

Ayesha works in a Vasai factory and Musibal is a labourer.

    The attackers should be arrested immediately and sentenced to severe punishment in jail. Govt should take care of the treatment of this poor lady. |My sympathy to the lady.
