Mumbai, Dec 21: As part of Christmas and New Year celebrations, Konkani Catholic Association Nallasofara distributed Kuswar Christmas sweets and ration among the hard up at Nallasofara east on Sunday. Association president, Harry B Coutinho spoke explaining the significance of the Christmas festival.
“The association has been helping poor children in the vicinity among selected hard up during the last two decades providing free stationery, paying school fees, providing uniforms and other items of daily use. The service of the association has increased by several other pro-society works,” he said.
Executive committee members Hilda D’Souza, Gracy Pinto, Lavina Dais, Rohington Kaka, Ronald Pais and others were present. Rohington Kaka welcomed and compered the programme. Ronald Pais read out the list of beneficiaries and rendered the vote of thanks.
