Kasargod: Man from Bengaluru drowns in river

Kasargod, Dec 27: In an incident which happened at Adoor Kadamana, a person from Bengaluru drowned in Payaswini river.

The victim was R Vincent (42) resident of Jayaraj Nagar, Bengaluru. He was a dealer in flowers who had settled in Bengaluru.

Vincent had come to Kasargod along with wife and child to celebrate Christmas and stayed at the residence of an acquaintance here.

He left to undertake a tour of some places with his wife and child. When they were moving on Mulleria - Poovadka road, the family had ventured into Payaswini river at Kadamana. Vincent reportedly got dragged away due to the strong draught of the river water and went missing.

The firemen along with locals undertook search operation and found the body. His wife, Nancy, and child survived without facing any danger.

The relatives have expressed suspicion about his death. The body was taken to Kannur government medical college hospital for postmortem.
