Udupi: 'District all set to GP poll vote counting process' - DC Jagadeesha

Udupi, Dec 29: The district administration is all set for gram panchayat (GP) election vote counting in seven taluks namely Udupi, Brahmavar, Kundapur, Byndoor, Karkala, Hebri and Kaup on December 30,” said deputy commissioner (DC) G Jagadeesha at a press meet at DC conference hall here.

“The counting operation will begin from 8 am. One candidate or an agent is allowed at the counting booths with authorised pass.

“The counting centres are St Cecily’s Education Institutions, Brahmagiri. Total tables provided to the seven taluks are 284 and 948 staff have been appointed for the counting process.

“The district administration has imposed a restraint order around 200 meters radius of the counting center. All the necessary police security arrangements have been made at all the counting centres. Mobile phones are not allowed to the center,” he said.
