Mangaluru, Jan 1: A star making competition for devotees was held in Paldane St Theresa church here on the occasion of Christmas. St Joseph engineering college assistant director Fr Alwyn Richard D’ Souza who celebrated Christmas mass, distributed prizes to the winners after the mass. Church parish priest Fr Alban D’ Souza, vice president of parish pastoral council William Lobo and Secretary Austin Monteiro were present.
Jenisha Fernandes from Sacred Heart ward bagged the first prize while Rishel Disha D'Souza from St Sebastian ward bagged the second prize. The third position was bagged by Wilson D'Souza from St Sebastian ward.
Consolation prizes were distributed to Joyline Josline Pinto, St Joseph ward, Vishwas Pinto, St Francis Xavier ward, Ankith D’ Silva, Sacred Heart ward, Natasha D’Silva, Sacred Heart ward and Riyona Monteiro, Mother Theresa ward.
