Bengaluru: No expansion of state cabinet in near future

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Jan 3: The much-expected expansion of the state cabinet seems to be not taking place in near future. No discussion in this regard was held in the state BJP core committee meeting that was held at Shivamogga on Saturday, January 2.

It is learnt that priority was given to getting ready for the upcoming bye election, taluk panchayat and zilla panchayat elections in the meeting.

As the gram panchayat elections are over, though there is pressure to expand the cabinet even before the joint session of assembly, it is doubtful that the expansion will take place before Makara Sankranti.
