Mumbai: BMC sets 75 centres for vaccine roll out

Mumbai, Jan 6: Aiming to immunize upto 50,000 persons per day, the BMC has decided to prepare 75-odd municipal health facilities into vaccination centres.

The immunization centres would include four medical colleges, 12 peripheral hospitals, four specialized hospitals, 14 maternity homes, and over 40 dispensaries.

Currently eight centres are nearing completion to roll out the vaccine. The identified centres are KEM in Parel, LTMG in Sion, BYL Nair in Mumbai Central, and RN Cooper in Juhu, Rajwadi in Ghatkopar, Bhabha in Bandra, VN Desai in Santa Cruz and Babasaheb Ambedkar (Shatabdi, Kandivalli).
