Udupi: Youth held while trying to sell ganja, complaint filed

Udupi, Jan 7: A youth was arrested on January 6 by Shirva police personnel for allegedly trying to sell ganja.

The arrested is identified as Sagar (22). On the confirmed information received by Shrishaila D M Police sub-inspector of Shirva station arrested Sagar from St Mary's circle. The arrested is a native of Odissa currently residing in Badanidiyoor village of Udupi taluk.

1.100 kg ganja, 22 packets of 59 gram each worth Rs 32,000 and Rs 1,200 cash, a motorcycle and a mobile phone were confiscated.

A case is registered at Shirva police station.
