Mumbai: Cops crack oil adulteration racket, arrest four

Mumbai, Jan 9: A crime branch team led by inspector Ninad Sawant cracked down on an illegal godown selling adulterated furnace oil. Located in Mandala area, Markhund, the cops seized 195 drums filled with adulterated furnace oil.

Four were arrested in the case - Mohammed Idrisi, Mohammed Ali Khan, Irfan Masuri, and Swaminarayan.

It is said that the accused used to gather oil from garages and refine them using dubious methods and later sell them as loose oils.
