Moodbidri, Feb 2: A complaint of murder attempt has been filed in Moodbidri police station. The complainant stated that he had given some sane advice to his son-in-law relating to marital discord between the couple at which his son-in-law got angry and tried to kill him.
The complainant, Ismail, said he was moving towards Moodbidri from his house in a scooter when the accused, Athoor Naseed, knocked him down by brushing his car against the two-wheeler. He then tried to kill the father-in-law with a lethal weapon, after which Naseed escaped. Injured Ismail is being treated in a hospital here.
Ismail's daughter had married Athoor Naseed ten years back. For the last few years, the couple have differences between them. It is said that Naseed was angry that he was given advice on this issue by his father-in-law.
