Udupi, Feb 2: Hore Kanike procession was held on Monday February 1 in preparation of Raashi Puja Mahotsava of Kodavoor Shankaranarayana temple.

Yashpal A Suvarna, president of DK and Udupi Fish Merchants Federation inaugurated the Horekanike procession. The various tableaus, Nasik band along with bhajan teams increased the fervor of the procession.

The procession began from Malpe Ayyappa Swamy temple.

Sadhu Salian, president of Raashi Puja Mahotsava Samiti, Anand P Suvarna, honorary president, Prakash G Kodavoor, president of the management committee, Janardhan Kodavoor, Adiga Krishnamurthy Bhat, Bhaskar Palan Bachanabilu, Sudha N Shetty, Raja A Sherigar, Chandrakanth Puthran, Councilor, Vijay Kodavoor, Bhaktavrinda president Raviraj Hegde, womens wing president, Hemavathi S Salian, members of Raashipooja Mahotsava Samiti, various bhajan teams and fishermen leaders and villagers were present on the occasion.
