Udupi, Feb 2: Udupi Open Amateur Invitational Tennis Tournament sponsored by Dhanwanthari Ayurveda Hospital was held on January 23 and 24 at Ajjarkad Indoor Stadium.

Devanand, president of CPC Tennis Club, here, addressing the gathering highlighted the purpose of the event as to encourage talents in and around the city and highlighted the importance of keeping fit.

Dhanvantari Ayurveda Hospital sponsored the event and provided health cards.



Dr Satyajit Kadkol highlighted the importance of sports in our life and how ayurveda can help play an important role in sports medicine.

The organizers K Jnandev Nayak, Dr Vinodh Hegde, Dr Roshan Shetty, Ramachandra Pathkar and Shankar Suvarna invited the participants.

Shashidhar Kidiyoor and Damodar senior-most member and active players of the club encouraged the youth by their well-maintained fitness levels.

Chethan R, SP Coastal police presided over the function and distributed the prizes. Niin (IRS) Mangaluru, Manjunath, CPI Udupi Dr Roshan Shetty, sports director and others were present on the occasion.
