Udupi, Feb 3: Unidentified persons who arrived in a car flashed a knife, posed death threat, and escaped after forcing a person to part with cash and other things. The incident happened at KFC building near Syndicate Circle, Manipal, on Tuesday February 2.

A complaint in this regard was filed in Manipal police station by Krishna, residing in an apartment complex near the office of the district deputy commissioner. The police, who registered a case have begun investigation.

Krishna reportedly was sitting with his friend Divyash in the stairs of the KFC Building at Manipal. A person who arrived there in a red car bearing registration No MH04 CT 1339, enquired with Krishna about the availability of cigarettes in the area. When Krishna expressed ignorance, the stranger flashed a knife he was holding, threatened Krishna, and snatched away two mobile phones, a Titan watch, Rs 250 in cash and MIT identity card, the complainant stated. Krishna, in his complaint, also explained that there was another person inside the said car.
