Karkala: Thieves break open house in absence of inmates – Steal Rs 7,80,000 worth jewellery

Karkala, Mar 10: Thieves broke open the main door of the residence of Vivek (51), at Kukkudakatte, Hirgana gram, Karkala in the intermittent period between 3 pm on March 7 and 9.30 pm on March 9 and stole gold and diamond ornaments worth Rs 7,80,000.

Unidentified thieves broke the main door with an unknown tool, entered the house and subsequently broken open the cupboard inside the bedroom before decamping with gold and diamond jewellery.

A case under crime serial No 30/2021 under IPC sections 454, 457 and 380 is registered at Karkala town police station in this connection.
