Udupi: Burn injuries during cooking - 67-year-old Milli D'Silva succumbs to death

Udupi, Mar 11: A 67-year-old lady has succumbed to burn injuries she suffered when her saree caught fire during cooking.

The deceased was Milli D’ Silva (67), resident of Uppinakote, Varamballi village, Brahmavar. On March 6 at about 11.15 am Milli was cooking rice fire when her saree suddenly caught fire. She suffered severe burn injuries and was rushed to KMC Manipal. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries without responding to treatment on Wednesday, March 10 at 7.30 am.

A case under UDR serial No. 16/2021, CRPC section 174 is registered at Brahmavar police station on the basis of the statement received from Tony Roshan D’ Silva (41), son of the deceased.
