Mumbai: Man booked for attacking woman, robbing ornaments worth 1.5 lac

Mumbai, Mar 29: A man was arrested for allegedly robbing ornaments worth Rs 1.5 lac after attacking a woman. The incident occurred at Thane district's Mira Road in the woman's flat itself.

Rashid Shakil Khan (50), a resident of Malad was arrested by the police within 24 hours of committing the crime. Khan was earlier booked on a cheating case by promising jobs in Siberia.

The accused claims he was convicted in a theft case in Dubai two-years-ago and has another case in the Maldives too. Police are verifying these claims made by Khan.
