Mumbai, Apr 6: A 54-year-old ended her life at Adharwadi jail in the toilet here on Monday April 5. She was accused of killing her younger son along with her elder son Shivaji (25) who was also serving jail terms for killing Satish (24) in January.
The police said she was upset as they found Satish was unemployed and an alcoholic and would harass his mother for money to buy liquor. On January 7, Maya, Shivaji and another relative killed Satish, packed the body in a bag and dumped it at Kasara ghat.
The three were later arrested by the police and have been serving jail at Adharwadi in Kalyan. "In his statement, the deceased's elder son claimed his mother was upset over killing the younger son, and she died by suicide," an official from Khadakpada police station said.
