Mumbai: Bantara Sangha, BSM Andheri Bandra committees hold Covishield vaccination programme

Mumbai, Apr 8: Bantara Sangha Mumbai and BSM Andheri Bandra committees held a programme of free Covishield vaccination at BMC convened Seven Hills Hospital, Andheri east in the morning of April 8.

The programme was held under the leadership of Bantara Sangha Mumbai president Chandrahasa K Shetty and under the guidance of BSM honorary chief secretary, Andheri Bandra regional committee former president Dr R K Shetty. BSM ladies wing president Uma Krishna Shetty, youth wing president Sagar Diwaker Shetty, central Mumbai regional coordination committee coordinator Gunapal R Shetty Aikala were on the dais.

“Treble T Guidelines should be followed for a Covid-free society. The government has the responsibility to track, test and treat. The Covid guidelines should be followed by all without fail and Covid should be driven away,” said Dr Satyaprakash Shetty.

Chandrahasa Shetty said that it is our duty to be careful about our health and be concerned about the safety of people around us. “Let us work for a healthy society,” he said.

“We should be alert about the second wave that is spreading in the world. Everybody including children and the elderly should work for a virus-free society,” said Gunapal Shetty.

BSM Andheri Bandra regional committee president Ravindra R Shetty said that the number of people who have come for vaccination is more than expected but the remaining people will be vaccinated in a day or two.

Seven Hills Hospital dean Dr Balakrishna Adsul, specialist Dr Bhujanga Pai, CEO Dr Shanker Krishnamurthy, former civic worker Jagadeesh B Ameen, BSM Andheri Bandra regional committee vice president Yashvant Shetty, secretary Prasad V Shetty, treasurer Karunaker V Shetty, ladies wing president Vajra Poonja, youth wing president Abhishek Shetty, joint secretary Sooraj Shetty, joint treasurer Prabhaker Shetty, health committee president Prashanth Shetty and other office bearers, BSM former joint secretary Mahesh S Shetty, Matrubhoomi Cooperative Credit Society Limited president Rathnaker Shetty Mundkoor and heads of various organizations helped in the vaccination.

BSM Andheri Bandra regional committee convener advocate R G Shetty welcomed the gathering and compered the programme. Vice president Ramesh D Rai Kayyara rendered the vote of thanks.
