M’lore: Dr Divakar, Former Minister Amarnath Shetty’s Brother Passes Away

Mangalore, Jul 31: Former minister Amarnath Shetty’s brother Dr Divakar Shetty Kondman passed away, here on Friday July 30.

Hailing from a Bunt agricultural family, Dr Divakar Shetty served for many organizations in different capacities. He completed his medical education from J N Medical College, Belgaum and started his career at Ashoknagar, here in 1975. He was the Lions district governor and was a good orator in English and Kannada. Being a charter member of the Lions Club, Ashoknagar he served as a highly appreciated president in 1981-82.

His last rites will performed in their ancestral home at Mundredaguttu.  near Moodbidri on Saturday July 31.

He is survived by his wife Shobha Divakar, an active lioness, son Rakesh and daughter Krishna.
