BMC run vaccination centres to remain closed on Sunday

Mumbai, May 23: Vaccination centres run by BMC will be closed on Sunday, however BMC has clarified that closure is not due to vaccine shortage and the details for Monday will be shared by them on Twitter on Sunday.

BMC tweeted "Dear Mumbaikars. There will be no vaccination at any of the centres tomorrow. Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. The details for Monday will be shared tomorrow by this handle & the respective wards too."

BMC additional commissioner Suresh Kakani said "It is on account of being Sunday"

Earlier the state said it was considering the possibility of importing vaccines directly for the use of citizens in Mumbai.
